Derek assists clients with strategic development decisions for a broad range of residential and mixed-use projects across the Americas
Derek Wyatt is a Managing Director in RCLCO’s Los Angeles office where he is responsible for leading the firm’s Real Estate Economics (REE) practice on the west coast, advising clients as it relates to market research, development, and investment.
Since joining the firm in 2010, Derek has worked closely with client’s in the public and private sectors to provide strategic recommendations and conclusions resulting in the successful implementation of hundreds of assignments annually. Derek is a key member of the firm’s Innovation, Data, and Analytics (IDA) team, assisting with the implementation and growth of new technology and analytics across the firm.
Derek’s has analyzed every development typology in the marketplace ranging from small- to large-scale mixed-use development in urban environments to suburban master-planned communities. Derek is passionate about housing across the spectrum of affordability, providing strategic guidance on a range of product types from Affordable housing to ultra-luxury branded residential developments.
Derek holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
