Scott is a Managing Director at RCLCO based in Washington, DC. He is focused mostly on real estate strategy for real estate companies or assets where the client would like to plan or is currently experiencing rapid change. His experience includes mixed-use residential and commercial development, equity and debt structuring/restructuring, strategic planning, mergers and UPREIT transactions, homebuilding, master planned communities, bankruptcy, property and company management. Scott has been involved or lead over $20 billion of real estate acquisition, construction, development and disposition activities.
Prior to joining RCLCO he was a senior executive for two “Inc 500” companies specializing in the real estate industry. Scott was the chairman for a $2B real estate client and currently is chairman of the board for a 130 year old real estate company that is also an RCLCO client. Scott began his career in public accounting specializing in real estate operations and tax. Scott is a member of Georgetown’s RE Board of Advisors.
Scott earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Smith Business School and performed post graduate work towards his Master’s in International Management, both at the University of Maryland. Scott is a Certified Public Accountant. He also was an adjunct professor for 14 years at Georgetown University – Graduate School of Continuing studies where he taught RE strategy, advanced finance, and RE workout classes. He was twice the recipient of Georgetown’s prestigious “Tropaia Award” for outstanding teaching excellence.
Scott spends part of his time in Park City, Utah where he is an avid skier, golfer, hiker and biker.
