Principal

Kelly leads strategic initiatives, marketing pursuits, and special projects

Kelly Mangold is a Principal based in RCLCO’s Bethesda, Maryland, office. Her role spans across the marketing, business development, knowledge management, and operations team in support of the Real Estate Economics and Management Consulting service lines.  With a background in consulting and an eye for both design and efficiency, Kelly brings process-oriented solutions to the team. After joining RCLCO in 2013, Kelly also spent nearly a decade working on the consulting side of the business with clients in the public and private sectors to guide real estate development and planning decisions, and has broad experience across product types. Kelly has a particular interest in consumer insights and has spearheaded many of RCLCO’s research reports and intellectual property efforts. She also hosts RCLCO’s monthly Webinar Series and Podcasts, which provide timely insights into current real estate trends and other RCLCO featured content.

Kelly is a licensed architect and LEED Accredited Professional. Prior to joining RCLCO she was an architect at Kohn Pedersen Fox in New York City where she worked on large mixed-use projects in the United States and abroad.  Kelly is an active member of the Urban Land Institute’s NEXT Washington group, and WLI Circles,  and a contributing author to Increments of Neighborhood: A Compendium of Built Types for Walkable and Vibrant Communities.

Kelly holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Architecture from Harvard University, with a focus on Real Estate and Urban Planning. Her studies concentrated on design and economics of the built environment.

Originally from New Jersey, Kelly now lives in Washington D.C. with her husband and two young children.  Kelly’s interests include architecture, exploring new cities, painting, hiking, and all things Halloween.
